Sometimes you’ll need a ton of luck to get the characters you want in Wuthering Waves missions Waves . But luckily, they do give you some nice starting characters to use for free if you’d like. Chixia is one of the free characters you’ll get from the story, and she’s a fairly viable gun user within the game. She is a Fusion element-based character that will be best used on the field as often as possible. She won’t require anything super special to start, but she can be one of your best 4-star characters if you take the time to get what she needs.

After doing so, players will be able to move forwards and investigate the familiar mirage, which will forward them to the Changli's point of view. Players will need to move forward as Changli, while defeating the TD on her way, and clear the roadblock with flaming flower again. After some dialogue, now on this side, players will need to connect the light beams inside the mechanism again. It is a little bit more complicated than previous side, however still quite straightforward. If the 5-star weapons aren’t available to you yet, you’ve still got some decent 4-star options for Changli. The Commando of Conviction 4-star is one of the better choices here, especially if you’ve gotten it ranked up via fusing it with the extra versions you may have already gotten. Commando of Conviction is fairly simple in what it does for Changli. When her Intro Skill has been used, her Attack will increase by 30% for 15 seconds . Even though it's a fairly simple weapon, as long as you can build up some quick Concerto Energy you’ll be able to utilize this buff often.

When considering a team for Chixia, you’ll want to grab some characters that work well with her kit and can do their damage rotation quickly. Yinlin is a prime example of a character that can pair with Chixia well. Yinlin does her damage and gains energy incredibly quickly while marking enemies for other players to get some bonus electro damage while hitting them. Yinlin is a fantastic choice for a support dps slot within almost any team she’s part of, and you really can’t go wrong with having her in your team if you’ve gotten her.

The next optimal option for Chixia is the Novaburst 4-star weapon. This is another viable and useful option if the 5-star one isn’t going to be available. Novaburst will increase attack up to 4% for 8 seconds when you use Chixia’s dash . This can stack 3 times as well and is a nice little boost to damage if she’s going to be the main character on the field while fighting. It won’t have the same value as Static Mist, but will still get some mileage for you until you’ve gotten a better weapon for Chixia.

The Lunar Cutter 4-star weapon is another nice option as well when upgraded after obtaining duplicates. Lunar Cutter will give Changli 6 stacks of a buff named Oath when entering battle. Every Oath stack will increase her attack by 2% and can be triggered 1 time every 12 seconds . Every 2 seconds , the Oath buff will go down by 1 stack , but when defeating an enemy, all stacks will be replenished. This is a good choice if you’re looking to keep Changli’s time on the field brief and focus on maximum dps within a short amount of time.

A major part of making sure Changli is going to hit even harder after you’ve gotten your preferred weapon on her will be to get her some echoes as well. Depending on what you want, you might want to get all 5 echoes for the Molten Rift Sonata Effect buffs. However, you can mix 2 Molten Rift and 2 Lingering Tunes to gain buffs from both Sonata Effects. This won’t be as optimal, but it also works for other playstyle preferences if it's something you think would work best for you as a player. With the full set of 5 Molten Rift echoes, Changli will gain a 10% increase in Fusion Damage as well as another 30% increase when using her Resonance Skill . If you wish to mix Molten Rift with Lingering Tunes, you’ll gain a 10% Fusion Damage increase along with a 10% Attack increase . Both options here are very viable but the full set of buffs from Molten Rift is still just a little better for how Changli’s kit works around Fusion Damage.
