About Me

This review contains minor spoilers for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It has been six years since Breath of the Wild launched alongside the Nintendo Switch, and the interim period between then and its sequel has seen its genre-defining qualities imitated, for better or worse. Genshin Impact successfully implemented the open-world exploration to the tune of billions of dollars in revenue, and a less-is-more approach to sound design, guidance, and weapon systems has been much more popular than it was in 2016. Tears of the Kingdom positions itself in this new landscape confidently, though not without a surprising lack of innovation in some respe

Pre-order bonuses are special incentives and rewards offered to players who pre-order a game prior to its official release. These bonuses can take the form of exclusive in-game content, physical items such as art prints, stickers, and wall hangings, or even special perks that are limited in availability. Due to the exclusivity of these bonuses, they are often highly sought after by gaming enthusiasts and can add an extra layer of excitement and anticipation to the pre-release period.

At its core, Tears of the Kingdom 's gameplay and story remain faithful to its predecessor, with many elements of Breath of the Wild also being present in the upcoming title. However, from what's been revealed through trailers and gameplay clips, the sequel looks to be nothing short of an expansive, refreshing, and highly polished return to Hyrule. Until March 12 though, players can only imagine what adventures and secrets they'll encounter in **The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The story of Breath of the Wild starts long before the beginning of the game. Thousands of years in the past, a group of people known as the Sheikah led an era of technological growth and prosperity in Hyrule. Their might was put to the test when the beast Calamity Ganon, the Great King of Evil, emerged to wreak havoc on the land. To combat this evil, the Sheikah built an army of Guardians, robotic machines that would be deployed to aid a fabled, unnamed hero and princ

Many thousands of years after the first Great Calamity, and about one hundred years before Breath of the Wild begins, Ganon is prophesied to soon re-emerge. In preparation for his return, King Rhoam of Hyrule orders the search for and excavation of the ancient Sheikah technology, the Guardians and Divine Beasts. He also tasks his daughter, Princess Zelda Tears of the Kingdom DLC, to awaken and train her sacred powers that would re-seal Ga

Every other facet of Tears of the Kingdom ’s story is based purely on speculation derived from the aforementioned murals. One mural shows a mysterious being surrounded by seven tear-shaped icons, potentially the titular Tears of the Kingdom. Additionally, the style of the carvings matches the aesthetic of the Zonai Ruins from Breath of the Wild , structures left behind by an ancient tribe of magic wielders known as the Zonai. While the title of the game is ominous, Tears of the Kingdom won't be exceptionally dark because of its E10+ ESRB rating, though it's expected that Hyrule's potentially unpleasant past with the Zonai will be explo

**The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ** begins auspiciously - there's a weight to its earliest moments that was absent in the more airy beginning of Breath of the Wild . An immediate purpose in the sense of exploration and a lengthy tutorial area that more accurately conveys some of the game's most important mechanics sets up Nintendo's latest for success. That success, of course, is vital. Following the immense cultural impact and design scope of Breath of the Wild is paramount to Tears of the Kingdom , especially since it's a proper sequel. For the most part, this is the game fans were hoping for - but it isn't without its limitations, thanks to aging hardware and the unrealized potential of some of its vertical
