About Me
Pro - Disney is a universal name with pockets so deep that God's hand would have a hard time reaching the bottom. Marvel is no slouch either in the household name department - but let's face it, they are no Disney. All that extra money, means way more marketing and increased traffic within the theme parks (sorry Universal but looks like you might lose the X-Men characters in your parad
When Marvel over-excitedly put out the original release schedule last May on the heels of Iron Man’s box office success, they were clearly trying to rush these movies into production. And we all know that rush =
As a pinball game, Marvel Pinball is as solid as they come. The physics featured in this game are identical to pinball machines you would find at your local arcade. Plus, you get to enter and record your high scores, compare them up against the world, compare them against your friends, and even the vibration feedback makes you feel that much closer to the real thing. You also have all the standards that come with a pinball table, including bumpers, rails, stand-up targets, etc. I especially like the fact that the game has the courtesy to move the Xbox Live notifications to the middle of the screen instead of at the bottom, because, if you know anything about pinball, you know that covering any part of the bottom of the screen could result in the loss of a ball. You lose three balls, and you're out. Game o
Meanwhile, 2025's Marvel Zombies: Red Band #2 offers a twist on Marvel Comics' zombie virus . This time, all characters are sent to Battleworld, divided between the surviving heroes and the horde of the undead. For weeks, the survivors' numbers are gradually reduced as more and more of them get infected, making the zombies' threat exponentially big
Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound have had the good fortune of working with Jon [on the 'Iron Man' films]...I know firsthand that he is the type of filmmaker that crews here love to work with, because he always gives them the opportunity to break new gro
"We just launched Marvel: Avengers Alliance on Facebook; which is just the tip of the iceberg. This is the first in a much larger effort to support the Avengers franchise across not just one but multiple video game touch points. The Avengers are bigger than just one game, and we’re planning to allow consumers to enjoy The Avengers regardless of their preference in gameplay style or platform. Look for more announcements in the weeks to co
We can thank Sega for the awful, poorly made, over-priced, unfair-to-fans-and-the-industry games including The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America: Super Soldier and Thor: God of Thunder . The Thor game was so bad it made us angry that it was even m
Is that why this continued for three years, releasing five of these poorly conceived games for every platform? We know Sega's not working on a game for The Avengers and the one THQ was working on got canned . Is there going to be a full console release or is Marvel (and parent company, Disney) just focusing on social and free-to-play games going forw
Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau recently got an "Atta Boy!" from George Lucas. Lucas handpicked Favreau to interview him next weekend at the Four Seasons hotel in Chicago. Favreau will also present Lucas with the Gene Siskel Film Center Visionary Award for Innovation in Filmmaking (...for making one of the greatest sci-fi trilogies of all ti
What do you think of this mega-acquisition of Marvel by Disney ? Does it make you as apprehensive as me for the future or elated that we may have an enormous opportunity to see more comic films in the fut
Jon Favreau had commented on how he doesn’t know if they can do Iron Man marvel’s Spider-man 2 side quests|https://spiderman2mix.Com/ so quickly as he felt he’d need a full two years to make the sequel just as he did the first. At the same time, **Thor ** hadn’t even begun pre-production and it was rumored they were still sorting through script drafts – It wasn’t until September that they had found a director in Kenneth Brana
Con - We could find ourselves over-saturated with watered down superheroes, quickly written scripts and under produced adaptation that are Disney is just looking to make a quick buck with. They are, after all, trying to re-coup $4 billion dollars of investment. It is distinctly possible that quality could suffer. Hopefully that won't be the case, because whether Disney knows it or not, they are now under intense scrutiny from one of these largest, if not the largest, fan base in the wo
The last we heard Jon Favreau was possibly going to helm The Avengers movie . Only real update to report is that according to Kevin Feige, Captain America will be involved in the film from the very start - meaning we won't have to spend half the movie waiting for The Avengers to thaw him out of suspended animation. That's good news, in my opinion: I was worried The Avengers was going to go the "Cap appears at the end" route. That would've been a serious cop-
